Be honest about what you'll actually want next year. Sell or donate what you won't, and you'll need less space.
Share with friends
A unit shared between housemates is often the cheapest option. Label each person's boxes clearly and agree who holds the booking.
Pack for the gap
Make sure everything is clean and dry. Empty and defrost any mini fridges and leave the door slightly open. Don't store food.
Plan your return
Note when your new tenancy starts so you can collect your things and move straight in.
